Several cultural figures and personalities have lived or still live in Campo-de Ourique: Luís de Sttau Monteiro, Manuel João Vieira, Fernanda Lapa, Fernanda Borsatti, among many others, as well as Fernando Pessoa, whose house where he lived for the last 15 years of his life has been transformed into a cultural space.
