Anyone who visits this land of fishermen falls in love with its “picturesque” air. The narrow and steep streets are filled with children playing, stoves ready to work and elderly people at their doorsteps, enjoying the beautiful views over a river that already looks like the sea.
But if the river only changes the tide, on the bank the landscape is changing.
The new and the modern of the marina and of the nautical sport, contrast with the old and the traditional of the fishing lots, the public washes and the clotheslines full of clothes.
A wave of modernity and new inhabitants has arrived on the coast of this land marked by antiquity, bringing with them different traditions, other ways of life.
The Bottom Pier and the Top Pier are, at least in appearance, two distinct worlds.
