Negotiating the Deal
Successful negotiation requires the ability to use a range of techniques to achieve the intended results. Your CENTURY 21® Real Estate Agent can help you be more objective, and not be overwhelmed by emotions.
Set the ideal price after deep research.
Respect the other side's priorities. For example, a buyer with some urgency may be willing to pay more for the property or forgo some repairs. Others may want to extend the deadline to make sure that additional, unforeseen expenses will not arise.
In any case, be prepared to compromise: both the buyer and the seller are not going to get everything they want. That means they can both win or lose.
TIP: Try to become familiar with purchasing a property, and with property sales agreements, before starting any type of negotiation.
